William Blair Introduces Global Growth Fund We are very pleased to announce our newest William Blair SICAV offering. It’s called the William Blair Global Growth Fund , and it will commence operations on October 15, 2007.
The Global Growth Fund invests in quality growth companies of all sizes around the world. It seeks long-term capital appreciation.
Global Growth Fund Investment Approach
- The Global Growth Fund will seek equity securities of companies that historically have had and are expected to maintain superior growth, profitability and quality relative to local markets and relative to companies within the same industry worldwide.
- The Fund will seek investment opportunities in companies at different stages of development ranging from large, well-established companies to smaller companies at an earlier stage of development. The Fund may also invest in initial public offerings (“IPOs”) and private placements.
- The Fund’s sector and geographic diversification will vary, based upon fundamental research, coupled with the ongoing evaluation of economic, market and political trends throughout the world.
Proven Management The Global Growth Fund will be managed by George Greig, the leader of our International Team, and the portfolio manager of the William Blair International Growth and International Equity Funds, as well as a co-portfolio manager of the Emerging Markets Growth Fund. George also serves as the global strategist for William Blair Investment Management. George will draw on the research resources of both William Blair’s U.S. and International investment teams.
